NEW ORLEANS, LA - 365 Connect, the New Orleans based, award-winning online technology platform provider for the multifamily industry, announced today that it has received the Governor’s 2012 Technology Award for its Locate, Lease and Live Technology Platform. This highly coveted, prestigious award, amplifies 365 Connect’s role as the leader in creating leading edge, web-based technology platforms for the multifamily industry.
The 2012 Governor's Technology Awards program is hosted by the Louisiana Technology Council, in conjunction with Louisiana Economic Development. The Governor's Technology Awards are designed to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of companies and individuals’ innovation and progress over the past year. Prior to this event, the Louisiana Technology Council recognized eWard winners in the Shreveport, Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans regions, who then competed for the Governor's Technology Awards.
The event was held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on September 19, 2012 before a standing room only audience of political, business and community leaders, as well as local and statewide media.
Louisiana’s Lieutenant Governor, Jay Dardenne, delivered the keynote speech, stating “We are here today to recognize, honor and award, the best, brightest and most talented innovators in Louisiana. The winners of the Governor's Technology Award stand far above the rest, they are the true leaders in the field of technology, and the State of Louisiana is proud to honor them here today.”
In presenting the 2012 Governor's Technology Award to 365 Connect, Louisiana Technology Council President Mark Lewis stated, “The 365 Connect Locate, Lease and Live Technology Platform is being used nationwide due to its unique ability to communicate data not only across the Internet, but to an individual resident living in an apartment community. Its powerful functionality locates prospective residents though its marketing syndication platform, delivers them leasing tools and serves the resident after the lease is signed through its content driven resident platform.”
Lewis added, “But the 365 Connect Locate, Lease and Live Technology Platform does not stop there, it also interfaces with online social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, and has proven to be so robust and unique, that it has gained acceptance with government programs in affordable housing. We are proud to present 365 Connect with this award today for their commitment and contribution to our technology community.”
365 Connect President and CEO Kerry W. Kirby, accepting the award on behalf of the company stated, “We are a proud New Orleans, Louisiana based company. I cannot possibly put into words how honored I am to be here today, much less standing here to receive this award. All of us have a different story of how we got here, not just in this room, but in technology, our individual market and even to Louisiana. 365 Connect’s story started in 2003, long before the days of digital media tax credits and certainly before it was considered cool to build technology in Louisiana. Today, our technology platform, 100% built right here in Louisiana, is used across the country by some of the largest multifamily housing companies in the industry, for people to find, lease and live in apartment communities nationwide. Well, today I am here to deliver a message, that the Silicon Bayou is alive, well and open for business – and building technology here is not just cool, its ultra cool.”
Leading up to the Governor's Technology Award, 365 Connect received the 2012 eWARD from the Louisiana Technology Council in the Coup D’ Tech category, which honors a company for its unique cutting edge and innovative technology product or service that is able to distinguish itself from others, help the state economically and stand out as a technology leader. 365 Connect builds all of its proprietary software in-house, never outsourcing a single component. 365 Connect is also the recipient of three 2012 MHN Technology Choice Awards, topping the list for the second year in a row in all three of the categories for which it was nominated.
"365 Connect is proud to have its technology platforms recognized by the Governor of Louisiana, the Louisiana Technology Council and its industry peers. We continue to make a difference in the market, not only for property management professionals, but for residents living in apartment communities across the country," said Kirby. "This award demonstrates the capability of the 365 Connect Technology Platform to rapidly evolve and grow to meet the changing needs of the multifamily housing industry."
