MUNICE, IN - Miller-Valentine Group is proud to announce, in conjunction with their partner organizations, the Grand Opening of The Lofts at Roberts, a brand new community built exclusively for adults 55 and over. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 420 South High Street, Muncie, IN 47305; property tours and a reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
Miller-Valentine Group worked with Muncie Community Development, Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority, US Department of Housing & Urban Development, Affordable Housing Partners, Inc., Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, and Key Bank Community Development Lending to transform the historic Roberts Hotel into a maintenance-free, pet-friendly community of 83 brand new one- and two-bedroom apartment homes for adults 55 and over.
Several distinguished speakers at the event will include: US Congressman Luke Messer; Indiana Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann, Board Chair, Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority; Paul Lagemann, Regional Director, US Senator Daniel Coats’ Office; Senator Tim Lanane, State of Indiana; Todd Donati, President, City of Muncie Redevelopment Commission; Terry Whitt Bailey, Director, Muncie Community Development; John J. Dorgan, Director, US Department of Housing & Urban Development; Robert Johnston, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions, Affordable Housing Partners, Inc.; Herman Bowling, Vice President, Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati; and Ben Goates, Senior Relationship Manager, Key Bank Community Development Lending.
The Lofts at Roberts boosted the local economy with over $7 million of local revenues including wages for workers and revenue for local proprietors, small businesses, and corporations. In addition, The Lofts at Roberts generated 125 new jobs during its renovation for local contractors and sub-contractors.
