AUSTIN, TX - Austin’s newest student housing community, MUZE, is nearing completion and will soon welcome its first residents as it opens its doors on Aug. 18 to students attending The University of Texas at Austin, which is located two blocks from the property.
As its name implies, the 502-bed MUZE was designed with creativity in mind by helping student residents find their own muse while in college. The community’s amenities were designed to cater to its student residents and their unique needs.
“College is a time of exploration and of discovering who you are and what you want to do,” said Kristen Penrod, principal of Parallel Company, the developer of the project. “With that in mind, we designed MUZE to provide inspiration to our residents and to support them in whatever they are passionate about.”
Amenities include Wi-Fi throughout the property, on-site garage parking, Car2Go car sharing program, study lounge with private study rooms equipped with interactive Smartboards, on-site athletic yoga and meditation classes, PC bar with complimentary printing, rooftop pool, outdoor rooftop theatre, outdoor rooftop gourmet kitchen, state-of-the-art fitness center with downtown views and top-floor sky lounge.
The 18-story community is located at 2100 Nueces Street and offers studio, one-, two, three- and four-bedroom floor plans that come fully furnished. The units include a bathroom for every bedroom, quartz countertops in kitchens, cable and internet, stainless steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, walk-in closets in select units, SMART housing units, hardwood-style flooring, glass shower enclosures, designer lighting package, and stunning views of downtown Austin.
The design team was led by architecture firm Rhode Partners, and Rogers-O’Brien Construction served as the general contractor. The project is being financed by KeyBank. The award-winning Austin-based Threshold marketing firm developed materials and creative to support the project.
