Weidner Apartment Homes Enters New Texas Market with Acquisition of 341-Unit The Lofts at Watters Creek Apartment Community in Allen

ALLEN, TX - Weidner Apartment Homes, a real estate investment and property management company, acquired the community The Lofts at Watters Creek from Jones Lang LaSalle Americas Inc. Weidner is known industry-wide as an efficient provider of quality rental homes and a creative developer of new housing.

The Lofts at Watters Creek is located in Allen, TX, one of Dallas’s premier suburbs. The community was built in 2009 and 2016 and is a three-building, 341-unit property with 868 parking spaces and sits on 17.37 acres. The community offers 45 different floor plans of one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes ranging in sizes between 836 to 1,575 square feet. This acquisition marks Weidner’s first apartment community in the Allen rental market and their 26th property in Texas.

Each apartment home incorporates high-end touches to elevate the resident’s living experience and create a comfortable environment. The apartment home amenities include large closets for additional storage, wood plank flooring, granite countertops, accent walls with modern paint, tile backsplash, oval soaking tubs, and double vanity baths. 

The Lofts at Watters Creek is a pet-friendly community and offers several shared amenities to expand the resident’s living area and create a neighborly atmosphere. The community amenities include two resort-style outdoor pools, a business center, a resident clubhouse with pool tables, two 24-hour fitness centers, and secure package receiving lockers. The community also offers direct access to Watters Creek Trail, Watters Creek Concierge+ Service, and a relaxing outdoor courtyard with grilling stations and comfortable lounge seating.    

The Lofts at Watters Creek sits in the heart of Watters Creek at Montgomery Farms, a mixed-use development that’s home to various retailers and office spaces, providing residents immediate access to local entertainment, eateries, and employment. Positioned along I-75 with easy access to I-5 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway, those working in neighboring cities, like Dallas, just a 30-minute drive away, will appreciate a short commute. Some of Allen’s natural attractions, like Watters Creek Trail and Watters Creek, are west of the community and visible from some of the homes. Business centers such as One Bethany West, East, and North, and Netscout Regional Office, One Allen Center, and Watters Creek Convention Center are across the street from the community.
