Cypress Equity Investments Announces Construction Completion of 186-Unit Hailey Apartment Community in Heart of Tacoma

TACOMA, WA - Cypress Equity Investments (CEI), a national multifamily developer, has completed construction of Hailey, a 186-residence apartment community in the heart of Tacoma, announced Michael Sorochinsky, CEI’s Founder and CEO. Located at 1210 Tacoma Avenue S. at 13th Street, Hailey brings high design apartments and a superlative lifestyle within studio, open 1-bed, 1-bed, and 2-bedroom floor plans. Construction began in late 2017 and the community received its certificate of occupancy in October of 2021. Hailey’s expansive rooftop amenity deck with sweeping harbor and mountain views, lounge seating, BBQ stations and fire pits are some of the signature features that CEI cites are garnering big interest from renters.

Designed by Seattle’s award-winning Studio19 Architects, Hailey presents a modern industrial form to harmonize with its historic surroundings and integrates metals, natural woods, and stucco, that echo those found throughout the harbor area. The building’s distinctive design separates the structure into two smaller connected blocks to maximize indoor/outdoor living spaces and enhance the natural light in all units. Each façade presents a different aesthetic through the focused use of the differing materials, all tied together by the consistent use of contemporary accent colors. The Rush Companies, of Gig Harbor, WA, was the project’s general contractor.

Inside, Hailey’s high-design apartment homes incorporate the finest in materials and finishes. Gourmet kitchens feature custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, and tiled backsplashes. All residences have highly desirable in-unit washer and dryers, while select apartments feature private balconies and outdoor terraces.

Residents of Hailey also enjoy a full suite of resort-style amenities in addition to the expansive rooftop amenity deck. There’s a second-floor outdoor terrace, a full-service fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, community BBQ facilities, and bike storage. For residents working remotely, Hailey offers numerous seating areas throughout the lobby and dedicated coworking space with full audio-visual system and high-speed connectivity.  Pet lovers enjoy the added convenience of Hailey’s onsite pet spa.

With the positive response CEI has received since Hailey’s opening, the firm is actively seeking additional development opportunities in the area.
