ATHENS, GA - Woodfield Development, one of the nation’s top 20 developers of Class A multifamily communities, celebrated the completion and opening of Holden at Oak Grove, the developer’s first multifamily community in Athens, Georgia. Located inside the Village at Oak Grove master-planned community, Holden at Oak Grove is a multi-building residential development with modern garden-style apartment homes and thousands of square feet for ground-floor retail.
As the developer continues expanding its footprint across the Southeast, Holden at Oak Grove represents Charleston-based Woodfield Development’s fifth project in the state of Georgia. Having announced leasing in September 2023, the response to Holden at Oak Grove has been extraordinary, with over 81% of the community leased.
“We are excited to officially announce our first residential development in Athens, a market that is experiencing significant growth,” said Patrick Kassin, partner at Woodfield Development. “The leadership in Athens has been amazing from all levels. The city’s high quality of life, great access to education through the university system, and a vibrant retail and restaurant scene make it an attractive market for us to invest in.”
Located in the Oak Grove neighborhood, Holden at Oak Grove consists of 296 apartment residences across nine three-story residential and three mixed-use buildings with approximately 10,000 square feet of retail. The community offers a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units, featuring modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and washers and dryers. The amenity-rich community features a pool, game room, yoga room, fitness center, co-working space, private workstations, outdoor grills, and a dog spa.
In addition to the 48,387-square-foot Publix, the Village at Oak Grove shopping center consists of tenants like Great American Cookie, Los Reyes Mexican Restaurant, Sugar Polish Nail Bar and Great Clips.
The project team for Holden at Oak Grove included CBG as the general contractor, Fifth Dimension Architecture and Interiors as the architect of record, and Shelton Taylor + Associates handled the property’s interior design.
