RKW Residential Expands St. Louis Footprint with Management of Chroma Communities and Addition of Naomi Tyler to Growing Team

ST LOUIS, MO - RKW Residential, one of the nation’s fastest-growing multifamily management firms, strengthened its portfolio and team in the St. Louis market. The firm was retained to oversee management and leasing of two Chroma-branded communities in St. Louis and added Naomi Tyler as Regional Manager serving the broader market.

Active in the St. Louis market for five years, RKW now operates the 237-unit Chroma and 111-unit Hue communities in addition to several other nearby properties. RKW combined Chroma and Hue into one community under the Chroma brand to maximize operational efficiencies and utilize shared staffing. The firm is also currently leasing up the second phase of Altair at the Preserve, following the successful lease-up of the community’s first phase and the separate Altair at the Heights community.

Tyler brings more than a decade of multifamily management experience to RKW. In her previous role at 2B Residential, Tyler managed the financial and operational performance of 525 apartment units and led an award-winning team of on-site managers. Before that, she served as a multi-site manager of operations and performance for a portfolio of more than 800 units across the St. Louis market.

A National Apartment Association-Certified Apartment Manager, Tyler earned her bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University.

“Naomi Tyler is the ideal team member to ensure the success of our expanding St. Louis portfolio,” RKW CEO Marcie Williams said. “We see significant opportunities for further growth in the St. Louis market, particularly when it comes to the Class A apartment communities we focus on. The market benefits from strong employment, which drives renter demand.”

St. Louis recently ranked No. 18 in WSJ’s latest ranking of the 20 hottest employment markets in the nation, based on a study of 380 labor markets. The newly opened Bill & Melinda Gates Agricultural Innovations (Gates Ag One) in the city’s Cortex Innovation District is expected to fuel further job creation in various technology sectors.

RKW’s continued expansion resulted in the firm making the NMHC 2023 and 2024 Top 50 Managers ranking, which is based on portfolio size. It also recently landed in the top 5 of a pivotal ranking for resident satisfaction and operational excellence, the 2024 J Turner Research Division I ORA® (Online Reputation Assessment) Power Ranking, for the second consecutive year.
