GENEVA, IL - Chicago-based Lexington Homes is bringing the redesigned version of its popular Mews series of townhomes to Chicago’s western suburbs with the introduction of Geneva Crossing, a new 40-townhome community in Geneva, Ill. Construction site work has started, and sales began Feb. 1.
Located at 2763 Stone Circle, just west of Randall Road, Geneva Crossing is convenient to multiple major retailers and restaurants along the Randall Road corridor and is also less than a 10-minute drive from historic downtown Geneva, which offers a variety of specialty shops and independent boutiques as well as wineries, breweries, fine dining options and access to the Fox River Trail for biking and hiking along the Fox River. The community is also just a seven-minute drive to the Geneva Metra station, which provides service to downtown Chicago’s Ogilvie Transportation Center via the Union Pacific West line.
“Geneva is known to be a great place to call home thanks to its combination of a quaint downtown and plentiful nearby recreational amenities, and Geneva Crossing residents will be close to it all as they enjoy maintenance-free living and flexible floor plans to match any lifestyle,” said Jeff Benach, principal of Lexington Homes. “Virtually every store or retailer a homebuyer could wish for is within about five minutes of the community.”
Benach added that the Mews series of home designs, which the builder refreshed and redesigned last year, has already been a top seller at its other townhome community in Morton Grove, and is expected to be just as popular when introduced in Geneva. “These are the most flexible and functional townhome designs we have offered, with the option to add a private suite to the lower level, which many buyers today seek for multi-generational living,” he said. “And the beautiful, expansive kitchens in these homes are the largest we’ve ever offered in a townhome.”
Lexington is building three model townhomes at Geneva Crossing that will showcase each of the three floor plans available at the community: the Orchid, Lotus and Juniper. “In today’s world of virtual tools and AI, we still find nothing replaces the opportunity for a prospective buyer to walk through one of our townhomes and see for themselves how our smart use of every square foot really makes a difference in the comfort and livability of our floor plans,” said Benach.
Base-priced from $450,000, the three-level townhomes measure from 1,780 to 2,278 square feet and feature two to four bedrooms, 2½ to 3½ baths, balconies and attached rear-facing garages. All three plans feature open living space on the main level, with great rooms that flow into generously sized kitchens complete with islands, pantries and balcony access.
“The Juniper, the largest of the three plans at Geneva Crossing, is slightly different from the Juniper at our Metro on Main community in Morton Grove, but it will showcase the same expansive kitchen whose oversized island has been especially popular with buyers,” said Benach. “This design also includes a ‘tech center,’ which is a designated nook in the kitchen for charging and storing devices. It’s located right next to a large walk-in pantry that, along with upper and lower cabinetry, provides ample storage.”
For buyers planning to set up a permanent work-from-home space, the Orchid design includes a den on the main floor, while all three floor plans feature a finished lower level with flex space that can serve a multitude of uses, including a home office. “Remote work is no longer an afterthought or a nice-to-have perk for most people, but baked into most of our lives,” said Benach. “Even those who want to have their work area upstairs will appreciate the possibilities this lower-level space gives them – especially with the optional half bath – whether they want to set up a fitness area, gaming room for kids, hobby space or home theater. We even offer the option of pre-wiring for a movie or media room during construction.”
All homes at Geneva Crossing will include 9-foot ceilings and luxury plank flooring throughout the main level. Kitchens will feature 42-inch upper cabinets, quartz countertops, a large island with seating overhang and energy-efficient stainless steel GE appliances. Baths, per plan, will include 12-by-12-inch ceramic flooring, dual sinks, quartz vanity tops and private water closets. Primary suites will have walk-in closets, while the lower level will offer a storage area. All homes will feature smart thermostats and tankless water heaters.
Buyers can choose from a variety of structural upgrades to customize their home, such as adding a powder room on the lower level, traditional or contemporary fireplace in the main level living area and volume ceilings in any upper-level bedroom. A gourmet kitchen upgrade in the Juniper adds a built-in buffet flanked by pantries. Per plan, a 2-foot extension can be added to increase square footage in secondary bedrooms, a third bedroom can be added on the upper level, and a private suite with a fourth bedroom, third bath and a closet can be added in the lower level.
Townhomes at Geneva Crossing will feature distinctive exterior architecture that blends English elegance with a modern aesthetic, including a black and gray color scheme, brick accents, gabled rooflines and lap siding, along with large six-pane windows for enhanced natural light throughout the home.
Geneva Crossing will be served by the Geneva 304 school district and is in proximity to Heartland Elementary School, Geneva Middle School North, Geneva Middle School South and Geneva High School, as well as medical facilities including Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital. Just north of the community is the Geneva Commons shopping center as well as a Fresh Market grocery store. Historic Downtown Geneva, less than a 10-minute drive from the community, offers a wide array of restaurants from casual to fine dining, a selection of quaint shops and boutiques, three hotels and a vibrant schedule of events including a weekly Geneva French Market, an Arts Fair, a host of holiday festivals and the town’s signature summer event Swedish Days.
